The Idea

This site is the beginning of a social project. The idea behind it is inspired by a man named Elihu Burritt who taught himself 50 languages, promoted peace and solidarity around the world, and fought for the abolition of slavery. Nicknamed the Learned Blacksmith, Elihu Burritt worked tirelessly in his forge while promoting all of these values. In his spirit, I intend to use this space to present questions of all kinds for public reflection. The questions are meant to be read daily as a meditation on seeking larger truths. The hope is to inspire people to listen attentively to and think more deeply about the problems that plague humanity. After all, our internal struggles are the ones that shape us the most.
